Intro to Understanding Tarot & the 7 Chakras: Investing in You

Updated: Jan 4

It is my pleasure to simply to a facilitator of this, and to help you remember this power you have within yourself. There is nothing more that i love than reading Tarot, herbalism, chakra alignments, Reiki, Sound therapy and helping anyone who feels off balance reclaim the gravity in the world, EXCEPT- teaching them to maintain it without me, and carry that peace forward. Every one of us can, we just get "stuck in the muck". But we can grow like the lotus, that fights through the bottom of the pond and the mud to float up and BREAK the surface of that crystal water and lets its petals fall open- more beautiful having overcome that obstacle, a rewritten a narrative or survivorship!

The Main 7 Chakras essentially refer to how consciousness organizes itself as energy moves from dense, survival-based awareness, UPWARD from the base of the spine, toward subtle, unified awareness — and then learns to live that unity within form. The Crown Chakra which connects to the divine is found just above the top of the head.

Consciousness evolves by moving energy upward through increasingly subtle levels of experience. This means base needs start low in the root chakra and the center is the heart, all the way up to those more intellectual at the top. When these energy centers are aligned, one is said to be aligned. At peace, secure, generous, confident and connected to Spirit,

Tarot is read not as a random set of symbols, but as a sequential activation of these energy centers.

Tarot Is Structured as an Energetic Ascent

Within chakra–tarot logic, the Major Arcana is not merely a story — it is an ordered energetic progression.

  • Early cards deal with density, form, survival, and control

  • Middle cards deal with relationship, balance, and emotional integration

  • Later cards deal with perception, surrender, illumination, and unity

This mirrors the chakra model exactly:

  • Lower chakras = dense, physical, ego-bound energy

  • Upper chakras = subtle, perceptual, transpersonal energy

Thus, tarot is interpreted as energy rising through awareness, not as disconnected archetypes.

Each Chakra Represents a Band of Consciousness, Not a Single Trait

In chakra–tarot reasoning:

  • A chakra is not one emotion or function

  • It is a range of experiences governed by the same energetic quality

Likewise:

  • A tarot card is not one meaning

  • It is a state of consciousness encountered when energy is concentrated at a certain level

So multiple tarot cards can correspond to one chakra because:

  • they express different lessons within the same energetic band

This is why chakra–tarot pairings are clustered, not singular.

The most important thing to always remember is to follow your own intuition- remember....YOU ARE THE MAGIC!

If you are familiar with reading Tarot just a quick guide:

Root corresponds to "The Road taken" family beliefs, shifting ideas.

Sacral: Emotional Responses- are they mature and reasonable?

Solar Plexus: What you think? Where is it leading you?

Heart: Permission, Safety, Who is leading you? How do you feel?

Throat: What do you see in your life as your creation?

Third Eye: Is this a real or hidden agreement?

Crown: Universe- tapping into unconcious

All of this we will expand upon greatly-

Journal about your initial impressions about this in comparison to what you already know.

90 days from now, read what you thought, compared to what you understand then.
